Parents and Carers

As part of our Careers provision, Parents/Carers will be entitled to:

  • Be able to make an appointment with a careers adviser to discuss their children’s future prospects/plans.

  • Be provided with good quality and up to date future study options and labour market information to enable them to support and help their children understand and consider all available options in planning their futures.

  • Receive invitations to take part in careers and information events

  • Have the opportunity to provide feedback on the usefulness of the careers programme

Our Careers Programme:

Details of the various activities, visits and events that your child will participate in, during the Secondary phase of their education, that are linked to Careers and Preparing for Adulthood can be viewed in the 'Programme and Policies' tab of the website.

We have also created the timeline below to show you the key events that will happen in each year/phase of education.

Parent/Carer Engagement:

Throughout the year, we will be communicating with parents/carers, and sharing information relating to our Careers provision, using a variety of methods. We will also be hosting a range of career-related events designed to raise awareness of Post 16/19 options, support decision-making and share updates from within the local area. However, should you have any questions or queries, please contact our Careers Lead, Natasha Harris.
