Welcome to Hedgehog Class!
In Hedgehog Class we have 5 staff and 10 children, and we like to have lots of fun! We run our classroom using Early Years Foundation Stage principles where the children engage and work on their individual Maths and Literacy targets through play, using lots of hands on multi-sensory experiences. The children also explore with all their senses and express themselves through planned Forest School, Art, Sensory and Music sessions.
During our afternoons we work on our therapeutic activities such as: speech and language skills, social play (SCERTS), light room, sensory massage and fine motor skills.
We will be making weekly out and about sessions in the community to practice out social skills and communication in the wider environment.
P.E. is on a Monday afternoon. We will be going swimming on a Friday afternoon during March through to May.
