Welcome to Ruby Class!
This is our Key Stage 2 specialist learning environment with 4 staff and 8 pupils. We follow a structured routine and timetable and all of the pupils have their own workstations to complete their own targeted work at.
In the morning we focus on Phonics, Guided Reading, Literacy and Numeracy with individualized targeted work and bespoke resources for each pupil. In the afternoons we follow a thematic curriculum including, Science, Art, World Around Us, Food Technology, ICT, PE, PSHE and Music. In addition to the National Curriculum we support the children with their speech and language targets, social skills, gross and fine motor skills and any sensory needs the pupils have.
We also go ‘out and about’ every day to give the children experiences outside of school and to learn how to socialize and act in public places.
