Achieve / Believe / Challenge

Hello and welcome to Year 11!

There are 12 students in our class and we are a polite and friendly group. This year, our curriculum is varied and exciting and offers us lots of new opportunities for personal development.

We take part in Maths, English and Science lessons where we are studying for our Entry Level qualifications. Some of us may even sit GCSE examinations if we feel confident and ready for this exciting step! We are also working hard to complete a BTEC qualification in Vocational Studies, which helps us to experience a wide range of work sectors and develop employability skills. We also know that health and well-being is really important and so we take time each week to attend local leisure facilities where we participate in a range of physical activities such as boxing, swimming and independent training in the gym.

We spend some of our week off-site at Halesowen College and Wolverley Animal Centre where we take part in practical courses to help to develop our independence and help us to begin preparation for our transition to post-16 education. Trips and visits also help us to develop our understanding of our local community.

If you have any questions about Year 11, please contact our form tutors Mrs Ralphs and Mrs Harris.
