Emerald Class is a mixed Key stage 3/4 secondary class. There are 8 pupils in Emerald. Tessa Stolzenburg is the class teacher, accompanied by four teaching assistants.

In Emerald Class we follow a Key stage 1 curriculum, adapting the planning and learning tasks for our more complex learners. We focus closely on the individual needs of each child and consider not only what our pupils need to learn, but also considers how they learn best. There are opportunities for both indoor and outdoor learning both onsite and off. We work with the children to develop their communication skills by creating a Total Communication environment.

We strive to inspire each and every pupil to achieve their full potential and most importantly to be happy and content in their learning environment.

Emerald Class have PE on Tuesday (Pupils to come in their kit). Please ensure your child has a PE kit in school that is labelled.   On Wednesdays, the pupils have food technology (Please bring tubs) and on Thursdays the pupils have Riverside Farm and Shopping (Pupils to come in boots and old weather appropriate clothes and bring in £1 for the shop).
