    Supported Internship Opportunity: 

    Mencap have partnered with DFN Project Search to develop a Supported Internship scheme in ASDA stores across the Black Country - which will include Merry Hill from September 2026. The scheme is designed to support learners aged 16-24 with an EHCP to enter the workplace and may be an appropriate alternative to further education for some learners.     Dudley Local Offer: 

    Dudley’s Local Offer is an online resource that brings together information about education, social care, health, transport and other support services into one directory. The directory has been designed with SEND users in mind and has been created in order to try and increase the likelihood of young people, within Dudley, accessing some of the services, activities and opportunities that are available.

    Preparing for Adulthood:

    Funded by the Department for Education (DfE), this organisation provides expertise and support to local authorities and their partners to embed preparing for adulthood from the earliest years. They work to ensure that young people with SEND achieve paid employment, independent living, housing options, good health, friendships, relationships and community inclusion.
