Learning Disability Awareness Week - Links To Sessions 21st to 24th June


During Learning Disability Awareness Week (Monday 21st to Friday 25th June), there are various events taking place via Teams. These are:

Monday 21st June, 9:30 am - 10:30am - Assistive Technology session run by Dudley's telecare service. A live session giving a general overview of telecare, who they are, what they offer & how to refer. The session will include case studies and a Q&A.

Monday 21st June, 2:00pm - 3:15pm - Coppice Lodge Dudley - what we can offer + question and answer session. Coppice Lodge is an independent provider offering short breaks and interim care placements for young people aged 4- 18 years.

Tuesday 22nd June, 9:30 am - 10:30am - Assistive Technology session run by Dudley's telecare service. A live session giving a general overview of telecare, who they are, what they offer & how to refer. The session will include case studies and a Q&A.

Tuesday 22nd June, 2:30pm - 3:15pm - Meet the Dudley Disability Service Managers session.

Wednesday 23rd June, 10:00am - 11:30am - Dudley Voices for Choice (DVfC) ‘My Real-life sessions’. Run by Dudley Voices for Choice, a user-led charitable organisation that supports people with learning disabilities and autism to speak up for themselves.

Thursday 24th June, 10:00am - 11:00am - Makaton session with Lisa Webb. Run by Dudley’s Unicorn Centre on how to use the unique language programme using symbols, signs and speech to enable people to communicate.

Thursday 24th June, 11:30am - 12:15pm - Meet the Dudley Disability Service Managers session.

Friday 25th June, 10:00am - 11:00am - Makaton session with Lisa Webb. Run by Dudley’s Unicorn Centre on how to use the unique language programme using symbols, signs and speech to enable people to communicate. Click here to join the meeting
