Loudmouth Education & Training Through Theatre

On the morning of Wednesday 22nd November, we were delighted to welcome back into school, Loudmouth Theatre Education Company.

As part of Anti-Bullying week Loudmouth delivered the PSHE performance ‘Bully4U’ to our Pathway 3 and 4 classes.

The aim of ‘Bully4U’ is to make young people aware of what bullying is, how to get help, and the responsibilities of bystanders to report bullying to an adult.

This also focused on the different types of bullying (including cyberbullying) and the impact bullying has. This included online risks and behaviours, including online bullying, abuse or harassment, and how to report, or find support.

Following the performance pupils participated in two small group workshops, where they were able to explore and discuss issues relating to what they had seen. The workshop provided an opportunity for pupils to think about the different types of bullying they had seen, as well as raising their awareness.

Evaluation has shown that this programme has increased young people’s empathy for victims of bullying, increased young people’s knowledge of different types of bullying and where to go for help and support.
